Built in the timeless triangular courtyard style, using solid sandstone and iconic timber framing. Originally rebuilt around 1800, the Lodge has been completely modernized while preserving its historical charm and rustic character.
The property features three separate buildings, providing ample space for various setups, and offers direct access to a private forest—ideal for outdoor shoots. With modern infrastructure like fiber-optic internet, heavy-duty electrical power, and plenty of parking, it’s the perfect location for your production. The Oak Lodge is a location shaped by nature and tradition. The ensemble of three historic buildings sits on more than 10,000 square meters of open ground. There are no modern surfaces—only natural ground, wooden fences, and an old oak tree at the center of the courtyard.
The layout reflects the rural architectural heritage of the region and the building's orientation is aligned with the sun’s path, they capture morning light in the east and bask in golden hours at dusk.
Architectural details reinforce the atmosphere: sandstone walls, exposed timber framing, and original rural proportions offer a visual richness rarely found today. The result is an immersive and historic atmosphere that feels honest, cinematic, and timeless—ideal for productions seeking depth, texture, and authenticity.

The interior of The Oak Lodge has been historically reconstructed across three distinctive floors, each with its own unique character.
The ground floor features over 1-meter-thick sandstone and brick walls, stone block floors, and exposed ceiling beams. This floor includes an entrance hall and a traditional tavern, offering charm and atmosphere.
On the middle floor, the classic half-timbered structure with clay walls, wooden ceilings, and solid wood floors creates a warm, inviting space.
The top floor boasts high ceilings with visible beams, offering large, flexible rooms for expansive setups.
Throughout the building, authentic period furniture enhances the historic feel, making it a versatile setting for a range of productions.

The forest features varied terrain, from elevated areas with expansive views to lower, tucked-away corners filled with dense bushes, trees, and meadows. These contrasting zones create a rich tapestry of vegetation, with each area offering unique visual possibilities—rock formations, winding paths, a small river and clearings filled with natural light.

Although steeped in history and despite its remote and peaceful setting, The Oak Lodge offers easy accessibility and modern infrastructure that fully meets the needs of professional productions. It is equipped with high-speed fiber-optic internet, multiple three-phase power connections, central heating, a fully equipped professional kitchen and ample parking space.
Berlin is just 2.5 hours away and Dresden, Prague, and Wrocław can each be reached in under 1.5 hours. Within a few minutes’ drive, there are restaurants, shops, and essential services and the surrounding region offers access to additional locations such as the Giant Mountains, abandoned sites, historical ruins, and national parks.
Accommodation & Support
On-site, we can accommodate up to 25 people, with 15 bathrooms equipped with showers for comfort and convenience. In addition, the property offers many amenities, including a sauna, whirlpool, and relaxing lounge areas.
For larger teams, we collaborate with local partners to ensure that even groups of 50+ people can be comfortably housed nearby.
