The Largest Trail For Offroad & Enduro
Off-Road Across Europe’s Wild East
The Trans Euro Trail (TET) is a continent-spanning adventure. Stretching over 50,000 kilometres, it winds through forests and over mountains, following ancient paths and connecting countries, cultures, and landscapes far from the beaten track. Designed exclusively for legal, unpaved roads, it’s tailored to riders of adventure bikes, dual-sports, and light enduros.
Poland plays a special role in this network. The Polish section cuts through remote areas, often on historical routes – past ruined castles, forgotten villages, and enchanted woodlands. It offers an authentic, nature-based riding experience suited to both seasoned off-roaders and curious newcomers.
The Section Through Lower Silesia
One of the most scenic and varied sections of the TET runs through the region surrounding Lwówek Śląski – passing directly by The Oak Lodge. Riders here encounter gravel tracks, woodland trails, rolling fields, and a few technically engaging spots. The route alternates between relaxed stretches and short, punchy segments, without becoming extreme.
Off the main path, the area is rich with hidden gems: Kolorowe Jeziorka (the colourful lakes), the castles of Gryf, Świny, and Bolczów, the serene Bóbr Valley, quiet churches, mysterious ruins, and peaceful picnic spots. The network of roads and trails is perfect for day tours – either as part of a longer journey or loop rides into the western Silesian hills, the Jizera Mountains, or even into the Giant Mountains.
Basecamp: The Oak Lodge
While many riders follow the TET in daily stages, the area around The Oak Lodge is worth more than a quick overnight stay – whit the TET right in front of the door it’s a place to pause and stay a while. Ideally located right on the trail yet surrounded by pure nature, The Oak Lodge offers a place to reset and recharge.
For small groups or solo riders looking for a place with atmosphere and individuality, The Oak Lodge is a hidden gem on the Trans Euro Trail – and maybe the place where your off-road adventure truly begins.
